At BigBay we produce loving family pets and performance or show ring prospects by focusing on temperament, health, trainability and true PWD character-fun loving, people oriented dogs who love to retrieve and play in the water!
Our breeding program is based on PWD’s from long established, champion breeding lines known for sound temperament, health, trainability and proven working ability in water work, obedience and agility.
We carefully select breeding pairs for each litter in support of our commitment to produce PWD’s that have responsive, easy to train temperaments, and suit both family pet and performance homes. We also focus on structure and health – ensuring that we prevent the inheritance of genetic health issues and produce physically sound, beautiful PWD’s that are a credit to the breed and our breeding program.
Our pups are home raised and well socialized through ongoing interaction with a range of people, dogs and experiences. We temperament test our pups to ensure the best match of the pup to your family and provide a written purchase/sale agreement that includes a health guarantee and comprehensive breeder support from the time the new pup goes home and thereafter.
Our pups receive a thorough check by our veterinarian, are registered with the Canadian Kennel Club, have had a micro chip implanted and have received their first set of vaccinations before going to their new homes.

Testimonial - I have known and taken classes from Lorraine for several years. I decided to do water work with one of my PWD’s and decided to take Lorraine’s classes. Even though I was a novice handler we earned our Junior Water Dog Title on our first attempt, which surprised me and others. We could not have done it without her guidance. I have continued to consult Lorraine over the years. She is an extremely knowledgeable and competent teacher and trainer in all areas of dog training. Her class handouts are extremely helpful. Even if I am not registered in one of her classes she is always willing to help out with suggestions if I am having problems. She also willingly offers guidance at the water trials, and did an excellent job of organizing the 2010 National Specialty Water Trial. I have also gotten to know many of Lorraine's dogs and their puppies. I would be happy to own any of them. My girls are Hogan’s granddaughters. I certainly highly recommend Lorraine as a trainer and a breeder and will continue to use her instruction and tutoring in the future. |
