The 4 PAWS Learning Model©"TRAINING IS A LIFETIME COMMITMENT"! It is often said that owning a dog is a life time commitment....and it is! I also believe that training  your dog, is a lifetime commitment. This belief is the foundation of my training approach. Whatever the age of your dog - training is the key to having a happy. well behaved companion - for life ! So what is "life time training"? Training involves the principles of continuous learning and positive reinforcement. A new puppy needs to learn how to behave as a canine member of the family. As an adult, your dog may need to learn how to participate with you in a sport such as agility or water work. Later on he/she may need to learn to accept another family member- a cat, another dog or a new human family member. Later in life, your dog will need to learn to behave well as it deals with the physical and emotional changes imposed by aging. The 4-PAWS Learning Model© |

Private-New Puppy Program
(Pups 8-12 weeks old)
The first few weeks with a new puppy can be challenging, even overwhelming. Let us give you the help that will ensure these early days are enjoyable and rewarding for the family and your pup.
We cover: Establishing your leadership role, house breaking, sleeping, eating and exercise routines, leash training, managing chewing and barking and safety with children and other pets
Private-Adult Dog Training
Program designed for your training needs
- private training is designed to meet your specific learning needs or behaviour issues and to work around your schedule-
We can help you address a wide range of manners and behaviour issues such as barking, jumping-up, pulling on the leash, and excitability with people and other dogs or improve your dog’s responsiveness to basic commands
FEES: vary by client need- and are based on a rate of $70 per hour (tax included)
| "The training we received from Lorraine enabled Kelby and I to accomplish her Rally-Obedience Excellent title as well as the Canine Good Neighbour title in a very short period of time. Group Classes
Maximum 8 dogs - 6 week series
Puppy & Adult Dog Classes
Our small group classes are designed to teach you to train your dog to be a responsive canine member of the family and community for life. We encourage family members to attend classes including children – this helps to ensure consistency across the family members and build children’s confidence in working with the dog.
We offer programs for new puppies (from 12 weeks old) through to manners, obedience, Canine Good Neighbour testing
and dog sports such as Rally-Obedience and Agility.
PROGRAM OVERVIEWS
First PAW Print — Your Foundation
(Pups 12 weeks and older)
Establishing your leadership role, puppy socialization, manners, leash work and
basic commands: ("come", "sit", "stay", "down", "leave it")
4 PAWS on the Ground - Building on your Foundation
(for older pups and adult dogs)
Maintaining your leadership role, socialization, leash work, responsiveness and consistency with basic commands and
working with distractions. This program also includes the Canine Good Neighbour exercises.
Leaping Forward - Introduction to Agility, Rally-Obedience & Canine Good Neighbour (CGN)
(for pups 6 months + and adult dogs)
This class is an orientation to 2 of the most popular dog sports and a review of the exercises in the
Canine Good Neighbour Manner’s exam.
Program includes; introduction to agility equipment such as tunnels, jumps and weave poles (with equipment adjusted for
beginner dogs and handlers) and learn the basic handling skills required to complete at a Novice Rally Obedience course.
Loads of fun for dog and owner alike!

Canine Good Neighbour (CGN) Preparation & Testing
